Zubin became famous overnight for the Anamika album. And many other hit songs of his were made. His songs gave love to the people of Assam. Zubin’s songs are found in tea gardens and agriculture. It has been said that in 1990, Zubin was very much needed in Assam because they needed a singer who was responsible for love. In 2000, Zubin has made a place in the hearts of all the people of Assam. 2006 Bollywood movie Gangster in (Ya Ali song) became famous for the song. Also, Krrish 2 in (Dil Tu Hi Baata song) became famous for it. Everyone outside Assam knew Zubin for the song Ya Ali. When he could have taken his career to a very high level in Bollywood, he left Bollywood and came to Assam. Because he said in an interview that there is a lot more attitude in Bollywood. Compared to which he is like a king in Assam and a king never has to leave his kingdom. He has written songs for more than 40 houses and has sung more than 38 thousand songs in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Assamese etc. Even after knowing so many songs, Zubin’s income was low.

Zubin helps the helpless people a lot. Many times he has been seen sitting and eating with farmers. And talking to the risk-takers. There was no discrimination between them, he treated everyone very well. He has helped the poor people a lot. Many people used to stand in front of his house for help but he never returned empty-handed. He has also helped with marriage and tuition for children and by giving money to many people in hospitals. Whenever there was a flood in Assam, Zubin himself used to help people. When there was no room for people to sleep in the hospital during the Corona virus, Zubin gave two of his living spaces in the cave to the sick people. Zubin has adopted about 15 children. One of them is named Kajili. When he was returning home, he could not bear to see Kajili helpless and brought her with him. And he fought successfully in the court. For this, Zubin is so famous to all people.

He did not back down from any work, be it political or religious, he said (I am a rebel and I am a fighter). He used to say whatever he felt when he was afraid of someone. He also said that the education minister should know about education and the finance minister about money. He said that he is an atheist and has no religion, he is an Azad. When famous Bollywood actor Govinda sacrificed a goat at the Kamakhya temple in 2018, Jubin got very angry. He replied to this by saying that Govinda should not sacrifice the goat to please his mother, but his own. He loved the culture and language of Assam very much. In April 2013, at an ULFA event, Jubin said that Hindi songs should not be played at Bihu events. He was the only singer who was so powerful to challenge ULFA. He also said that songs have no language. For this, ULFA has said that Zamin will be killed, but he was not afraid of it. He has also refused to take security from the Assam government.
